Hippo - Father Funk Mother Salsa Son Flava
Part of the Fingerprint Records roster, Hippo last came on the scene in 2003 with his The Hippodrome album. He is back with a collection of salsa tinged hip hop beats. It's rather impressive. Check his words:
Who is Hippo? The rhymin' ass creature is my musical alias. This album is my latest assortment of dirty beats, latin grooves, funky synths, and dusty samples. Take a trip with me during 23 tracks of time time traveling back and forth between the US of A and South American. This album is the long awaiting sequal to 2003's The Hippodrome. Enjoy!
