yeah i just really like dudes that are different on some other shit, but makes sense of it all.
me n this guy are probably close in age- ok, i'm probably older- and we live in close vicinities.. but you'd be hard pressed to find too many guys with similar music tastes as this guy. people can name drop, but super ugly is right that this guy can geek out on that shit.

Great interview. The dude should get on radio or TV more. I like how he can act all silly and nasty on record and then turn around and drop some real insight and speak the plain truth far from all the cliché frontin of most other cats.

word on 415's 41Fivin', that album -slapped- in Oakland for a good minute. hella funny that he didn't choose 'Groupie Ass Bitch'; that shit regularly makes the top of my playlist, and i'm teaching a class called 'West Coast Rap & Women' at UCSC. that brick house sample just gets ripped to pieces, and richie rich's the shit on some ol' redd foxx hype. sets up sideshow like a dream.

great job as always. plus-- the similarities in your tastes. it was like cake for you.

i heard of zone in early 00s and never dug for all his stuff til i found these blogs. i'm not a fan of most of the stuff he mentions, either. i have the cds of most of those- kam, threat, lench mob, etc.. and i don't remember diggin em much..
but i like this guy. he's precise. he knows what he likes. intelligent. knowledgeable. experienced. well-spoken. goal-oriented. great qualities. makes me look up to him.
